Here's your chance to own an amazing attention grabbing, chopped and hot rodded Chevy pickup. You won't find another one with this much style and attitude. With traditional 1940's hot rod styling and a Chevy 348 engine and 3 Stromberg's it's pretty hard to beat. The radical chop and low stance set this Chevy apart from the rest.  Everything looks right at home and just as it should on a period hot rod right down to the glass tail lights, 40's steering wheel and vintage glass door knob shifter.

Leave it just as it is and enjoy the heck out of it or finish the body work and paint it to suit your style.  Either way you can't go wrong. The cab is more spacious that you would expect and should fit drivers under 6'2". If you are taller you may need to make some modifications to the seat frame for improved comfort. Owner has too many projects and this one is up for grabs to help him fund the next build and keep his wife happy. Don't let this one get away!

Drivetrain

Chevy 348, runs great. Same design as the famous 409 and one of the coolest looking engines ever made.
Offenhauser Finned Aluminum valve covers and matching air cleaners
3 Stromberg 48 Carbs, all rebuilt
Progressive carb linkage
New fuel pump
New spun aluminum fuel tank
New water pump
Pertronix Ignition - great upgrade for trouble free ignition
New radiator
Custom copper overflow tank
Custom one off headers. They were powder coated but due to the heat its chipping off. Currently have 4" Harley exhaust baffles installed for good sound without being too obnoxious
4 Speed Manual Transmission. Chevy granny 1st gear but works great as a 3 speed
New Clutch
Rebuilt brakes and new wheel bearings, new drum shoes front and back.

Body

1936 Chevy Truck Cab
Chopped 6", Still has good visibility but looks sinister going down the road
30's Chevy frame, Z'd for the low stance
4 Link rear suspension with adjustable coil overs for a nice ride and handling
Vintage 1940's accessory head lamps with turn signals. They are deeper than standard 'bumble bee' lights and are a stand out feature of the truck.
Orignal bed was shortened to match the porportions of the truck. It's close to 4' in length.
'Jack Daniels' wooden crate houses the battery
All new custom hard fuel and brake lines
Brand new 12v wiring harness wrapped in vintage style cloth tape
Orignial style friction shocks up front
Most of the interior panels are currently installed except for the inside door moldings which still need fitting after the chop but will come with the truck
Custom bench seat. The owner did upholstery work for 13 years and recovered this seat himself in a traditional style tuck n' roll
New tail lights with glass lenses
1940 Chevy steering wheel
Vintage 40's suicide knob
Wheels are chevy 6 lug pattern and powdercoated black
Original style e-brake handle, all hooked up but could use a little adjustment
Custom wood inserts in the floor to help with heat and road noise
Spin on oil filter adapter
New starter
Custom pinstriping on the radiator shell, cab, tailgate and dash
Glass- currently only has front windshield glass installed, which does have a crack on the passengerside due to an installation mishap. No back or side glass.
Other Notes

Truck cab was sand blasted and has been kept in bare metal by applying Gibbs to help stave off surface rust.
The front suspension can bottom out on the occasional pot hole or large bump due to the low ride height and limited travel in the parallel front leaf spring suspension with friction shocks. Not a big deal but just be aware it's not your grandpa's Cadillac. Half the fun of owning and driving these 30's hot rods is the ride, sound and feel of all the mechanical components and being connected to what your driving.  This a raw, mean and incredibly fun truck to drive. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Doors do have all window mechanisms but no glass installed
Does leak a small amount of oil from the drain plug, which was repaired at one time but you may want to replace the pan down the road to take care of it completely. Hasn't been enough of an issue yet to warrant the cost of a new pan so it's up to you but just want to be honest.
Tach and water temp gauges work great but the others aren't functional.
Bed wood was all new and stained dark to match the feel of the truck.
Cab, floor and bed are all solid and ready to rock the streets.
